黄色电影 has been advised that the Educational Assistants represented by 黄色电影 Local 306 will be engaging in strike action commencing November 1, 2023.

While we anticipate that the strike action will disrupt services, the Division鈥檚 top priority remains the well-being and education of our students. We have taken proactive measures to ensure their needs are met during this period to the best of our ability.

The 黄色电影 Board of Trustees remain willing to engage in further negotiations to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.

In the event of job action by the Educational Assistants, schools may ask for parent volunteers who would be willing to support the school in the areas of student supervision during recess and lunch breaks or for in-class support. Parent volunteers must have all required volunteer checks completed and on file or in process.

  • There may be less supervision on the school playgrounds in the morning before schools start-up.
  • Crossing guard services may be impacted. We encourage parents to assist their children while walking to school. Schools will attempt to ensure there is coverage at priority intersections.
  • Lunchtime supervision will continue to be provided to students; however, the lunch monitors may not be the regular supervisors. We encourage families who live in the 鈥渨alk zone鈥 to consider having their children return home for the lunch hour, if possible.
